Jour 108: Life lessons from Confessions of a Shopaholic

Hey guys!

So, I'm still in the midst of rereading Sophie Kinsella's Confessions of a Shopaholic (original recipe). Along the way, I've come across far too many genius bits of the novel that relate to MY LIFE EXACTLY, and so I had to share with you!

There is no question. I have to have this scarf. I have to have it. It makes my eyes look bigger, it makes my haircut look  more expensive, it makes me look like a different person. I'll be able to wear it with everything. People will refer to me as the Girl in the Denny and George Scarf.

That moment. That instant when your fingers curl round the handles of a shiny, uncreased bag - and all the gorgeous new things inside it become yours.

I buy it - the most perfect little cardigan in the world.  People will be able to call me the Girl in the Gray Cardigan. I'll be able to live in it. Really, it's an investment.

It's like the beginning of Lent. This is my Shopping Pancake Day. I need to cram it all in before the fast begins.

God, this frugality is hard going.
