So, in the interests of frugality, I went to a fundraising yard sale held by the local burlesque society. What did I buy? Less than you might think, and I'll write about it tomorrow.
In the meantime, here's some articles that caught my eye this week:
How to save money on groceries without coupons by The Frugal Girl. One of her pieces of advice is to buy ingredients, not meals, which is part of what inspired my latest challenge!
Donate and recycle by Angela Barton. Lots of great suggestions to help out with embarking on a more minimalist lifestyle -- challenging for me because I wasn't sure what to do with things I no longer needed.
8 easy ways to reduce, recycle and reuse by the Prairie Eco-Thrifter. I need to remember to bring my own bags when grocery shopping! Why do I always forget?
Aaaaand... my all-time favourite read this week was from Thread NY: inside OPI's Polish-Naming Process. Naming nail polish was always my dream job as a kid. And now it is, even more, after I learned about how much fun they having naming polishes!
(Runner-up for favourite article was from Bella Sugar, about what to wear when the world ends, featuring fabulous fashions from Apocalyptic movies. Surprised they didn't include Britney Spears outfits from her latest video, though)
